Giant Red Spot on Jupiter Dissipating

Question: Will the Giant Red Spot on Jupiter ever dissipate?
Thank you.

Answer: This is a good question < Andy. I expect that it will dissipate
over time. Any such structure in a liquid will dissipate over time
due to mixing at the surface, or the dying away of teh rotational
flows that make up the spot. It is likely that this dissipation wil
be slow. Some of the cyclones in our atmosphere take several days
or even weeks to dissipate. Maybe you could be the scientist
who will decide this squestion in the future.
