Quasars


Question:  What is a quasar and how is it powered?

Answer:  A quasar is one of the most powerful sources known
to mankind. These are very distant, in fact the most distant
objects known today. These powering mechanism is not
understood. It has been conjectured that mass
falling into a very massive black hole is providing
the energy input.
