The Casi card access control program for the Berkeley Lab was established in FY97. Proximity access card readers are available on the majority of main entry doors Labwide.
ID Proximity access cards are issued in two locations: Site Access Office (for all LBNL employees and guests) and ALS User Office (for ALS Users only). The Site Access Office in Bldg. 65A is open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, unless otherwise posted. Call 486-4551 to confirm office hours.
If you require handicap access, please contact the ALS User Office (486-7745).
Current LBNL personnel have automatic access to:
- Building 50 Perimeter
- Building 50 Library
NOTE: General Employee Radiological Training (GERT) is mandatory for all Berkeley Lab employees and guests. The online training course must be completed at the Site Access Office or a verification of course completion must be presented before an ID/ Proximity card can be issued.
