Security Testing and Evaluation Labs
Cryptographic Equipment Assessment Laboratory (CEAL)
CygnaCom Solutions, a company with nationally renowned expertise in computer security, cryptography, software development, and evaluation of security products, participates in the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) with its laboratories. CygnaCom Solutions’ Cryptographic Equipment Assessment Laboratory (CEAL) is accredited to test hardware and software products for compliance with the US Government’s FIPS 140-2, and compliance with FIPS algorithms such as the Data Encryption Standard, Skipjack, Secure Hash Standard, and Digital Signature Standard.
NVLAP is a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) program that accredits laboratories to perform compliance testing on commercial products that may be purchased by the government. Accredited laboratories are constantly monitored by NIST to maintain the highest quality standards. To obtain this accreditation, CEAL facilities underwent rigorous inspection, and CEAL staff have been tested to ensure a thorough understanding of all aspects of cryptographic module testing.
