Dr. Percy Julian, minority pioneer

Question:
Dr. Percy Julian was a black chemist who formed his own pharmaceutical
company around 1950. His training was in organic chemistry. Where did
he attend college and what is the name of his pharmaceutical company?
He is a black American about whom I would like to learn.
I am a 10th grade student. Thank you.

Answer 1:
Gee, I read an article bout this in Chemical and Engineering News
when the stamp in Dr. Percy's honor came out. The article had
the information you are asking for but unfortunately I don't have
it anymore (I moved). Try going to the public library and ask
if they can help you find the article. It may be possible to get
copy through interlibrary loan. If that doesn't work, phone the
American Chemical Society directly at 1-800-ACS-5558 and ask them
to either send you a copy or help you find one. You can also try
contacting the local chapter of the ACS near you. Good luck!
If you find out this information let me know and I will
post it here.

Answer 2:
I just bought some more of the commemorative stamps
in Dr. Percy's honor.

I bet that the post office has some information of Percy since they
came out with their commemorative stamp. Why not try there?
They probably have produced a pamphlet or something you could have.

Good luck!
