Question - My son (14) asked the origins of Petroleum Jelly,
Vaseline, we found that. He then asked as it was petroleum / oil byproduct based, is it therefore
flammable / explosive?
------------------------------------------------
Petroleum jelly is flammable, but not very, because it is not very volatile
and so the supply of oxygen necessary for combustion is limited.
Approximately, it is a bit more flammable than paraffin wax.
