Microwaving Bacteria
name Heather
status student
age 16
Question - How are bacteria in food effected by the process of microwaving it?
How does it work? Are the bacteria effected by the radiation, microwaves, or the heat while it is being heated? This is for a science fair project and I have had no luck in finding the information I need.
Bacteria produce toxins that stay in the food even if you kill them by heat or whatever. The toxins is what makes you sick, not the bacteria themselves.
