Objectives

As Executive Director, the following are to be provided:

Organize day-to-day activities of the CBOS Steering Committee
Research and Recommend CBOS governance structure
Develop and implement plan to engage CBOS user community
Complete assessment and inventory of regional resources, users, and needs
Facilitate communications between CBOS, NOAA, other NORLC agencies,OCEAN.US, Regional Associations (including MACOORA), and COTS projects
Establish integration and interoperability of CBOS assets belonging to different federal agencies

Statement of Problem

The NOAA Chesapeake Bay Office (NCBO) is developing the Chesapeake Bay Observing System (CBOS), as part of the national Integrated Ocean Coastal Observing System (IOOS). As part of that effort, the NCBO needs an Interim Executive Director to oversee and organize the development of CBOS.
