Report of the Goddard Aerosol Group: Update 2007

The aerosol community at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), Greenbelt, Maryland, and the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), New York held her 2007 Annual Aerosol Update on Thursday, 22-February-2007, 1:00-5:00 PM, in GSFC, Building 33, Room H114. This annual event was started about 5 years ago at the initiative of the Director of our Earth Sciences Division, Dr. Franco Einaudi, during the formation of several cross-cutting research themes here at GSFC. Yoram J. Kaufman Symposium

We are announcing the Yoram J. Kaufman Symposium on Aerosols, Clouds and Climate to be held at the NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center, May 30, 31 and June 1, 2007. The 3 day meeting will feature 5 sessions:
  • Passive remote sensing of aerosols, clouds and the Earth's surface
  • Active remote sensing of aerosols and clouds
  • Aerosols and climate
  • Aerosols field campaigns
  • Future missions

Speakers are by invitation only, but all participants may submit a manuscript to a special section of the Journal for Geophysical Research - Atmospheres that will be accepting manuscripts immediately after the symposium.
