Treatment Recommendations at Your Fingertips: UpToDate® Web Access Expands to All NIH Staff

The NIH Library recently negotiated a new agreement to provide NIH-wide access to UpToDate. With this site license, NIH staff members in all locations may access UpToDate from the office as well as off campus.

To connect to UpToDate, go to the NIH Library Databases webpage and scroll to the UpToDate entry. Connecting through the Library's Databases page ensures that you are recognized as an eligible user from NIH. (Please note that this is the only access route for UpToDate. Typing in a URL or using bookmarks for the site will not work.)

UpToDate is an evidence-based tool for answering clinical questions and identifying treatments. It includes more than 75,000 pages of peer-reviewed text written, edited, and reviewed by more than 3,800 expert clinicians. UpToDate is continuously updated, with a new version released every four months.

To learn more about UpToDate, email nihlibrary@nih.gov or call Reference & Information Services at 301-496-1080.
