Although all six subjects are not required, this group is encouraged to complete them. |

Definitions: |
FTEs (Full-Time Equivalency) are hired through a variety of mechanisms, including but not limited to: GS, Title-42 (AD), and the Commissioned Corps. A few job titles that are FTEs include Tenured Investigator, Tenure-Track Investigator, Staff Scientist, Staff Clinician, Biologist, Psychologist, Social Worker, Statistician, Biological Lab Technician, Program Assistant, Secretary, Purchasing Agent, Administrative Technician, Administrative Officer, Budget Analyst, Clinical Fellow and Research Fellow. This is not a complete list of all FTE job titles. |
Non-FTEs are those who are not hired through a Full-Time Equivalency mechanism. Common job titles of non-FTEs include Post-bac IRTA, Technical IRTA, Pre-doc IRTA, Post-doc IRTA, and Visiting Fellow. Special Volunteers and Guest Researchers are sometimes included in this category, but they do not receive remuneration from the NIMH. |
Contractors are those who are hired by an outside organization, who perform work for the NIMH. |
