Oil Spill/ShoreLine & Wildlife Impact Assessment Training Class
Description:
The Burlington County Office of Emergency Management will be hosting an oil spill/shore line & wildlife impact assessment training class on Tuesday, September 30th, at the Emergency Services Training Center, 53 Academy Drive Westampton, NJ.
In conjunction with a worst case oil spill discharge, the O'Brien Group is offering a two (2) hour training session conducted on behalf of the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay Planning Committee. The intent of this training is to provide our members with tools and information to allow them to be effective member of an oil spill response. We believe our members can be an effective partner during an oil spill by assisting with local assessments of oil impacts and identifying injured wildlife during the initial phases of an incident. This training will cover a general overview of Oil Spill Response, how to safely respond to an incident, how to identify injured wildlife, how to assess shoreline impacts and how to communicate the findings effectively to the Unified Command.
