Day One: Training Classes - "Responder Challenge" - Bar-B-Que for Attendees !
On Friday, September 12th, all attendees will participate in a series of mandatory water rescue training classes. Topics will include Shallow Water Crossing, Flood Disaster Medical Response, Rope Bag Techniques, Search Patterns, Moving Victims in Inflatables, and Flood Fighting. Training will take place at Cal Expo, 1600 Exposition Boulevard, Sacramento, CA.
Day Two: Full Scale Exercise
On Saturday, September 13th, attendees, working in teams, will practice and apply what they learned in a Functional Water Rescue Disaster Exercise. Successful completion of all Friday training sessions is required in order to participate in the Exercise. The Exercise will take place at William B. Pond Recreation Area / Arden Bar.
