DGPHCD Overview
The Division of Global Public Health Capacity Development (DGPHCD), Coordinating Office for Global Health (COGH), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is seeking qualified candidates for the positions listed below. DGPHCD helps Ministries of Health develop applied epidemiology programs, disease surveillance, outbreak investigation, laboratory management capacity, and management training through direct technical assistance in the form of Field Epidemiology (and Laboratory) Training Programs (FELTPs) and other projects.
Position Description
DGPHCD is hiring epidemiologists and medical officers to serve as an in-country resident advisors in support of FE(L)TPs in Egypt, the Republic of Georgia, Jordan (Iraq FELTP), and Thailand. The incumbents will be responsible for scientific and programmatic leadership and for overall direction of their respective FE(L)TP. The incumbents also will supervise trainees.
