As Acting Chairman, it is important to me to set a tone that fosters a positive climate of learning, innovation, flexibility and inclusion at CPSC. Let me share with you my leadership focus. I am dedicated to "saving lives and keeping families safe." I am also committed to ensuring that our safety mission is accomplished in an environment of mutual respect, trust and teamwork. This means reaching out to candidates from all backgrounds that can help us achieve our goals. I am confident that if you join CPSC, you too will be as dedicated to our mission as I am. Every employee in some way, no matter what his or her job is, plays an integral part in achieving the goals of CPSC.
Please join with us as the Commission continues to save lives by fostering a marketplace where consumer products are as free as possible from defects and hidden hazards. We offer exciting and challenging work. To be ready for the future, we need talented employees to help us develop and refine the many strategies that will help us keep pace with the growing number and complexity of products that enter interstate commerce.
