FEC to Meet on October 11 to Consider Five Advisory Opinion Requests

The Federal Election Commission (FEC/ the Commission) will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2007, to consider:

• An Advisory Opinion Request (AOR) from GMAC LLC regarding the payment of costs to administer the separate segregated fund (i.e., PAC) of an incorporated subsidiary by a limited liability company treated as a partnership;
• An AOR from the American Kennel Club, Inc., regarding the affiliation of entities in a multi-tier membership organization for purposes of soliciting contributions to the American Kennel Club’s PAC;
• An AOR from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee regarding signature requirements for contributions in the form of physical checks generated through online banking services;
• An AOR from Rangel for Congress and the National Leadership PAC regarding the use of funds from an authorized campaign committee, or, alternatively, from a Leadership PAC, for donation of a portrait of an officeholder to the U.S. House of Representatives;
• An AOR from Congressman Rush Holt regarding a federal candidate serving as the honorary chairman of the campaigns of publicly-financed State candidates.

The meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the 9th floor hearing room at the Commission’s offices at 999 E Street, N.W. in Washington.
