The NRO Inspector General reports directly to
the NRO Director and Deputy Director. The Office
of the Inspector General (OIG) strives to be a
catalyst for positive change and continuous improvement
in NRO programs and activities. The OIG safeguards
the public trust by:
- providing oversight of NRO resources
- promoting integrity, economy, efficiency and
accountability
- preventing and detecting fraud, waste and
mismanagement
The NRO OIG welcomes information concerning suspected
fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement in NRO programs,
contracts, or other activities. If you have such
information, you are encouraged to contact us
via the address or Hotline number provided above.
Such information may be provided anonymously,
if desired.
Employment
The NRO is an Intelligence Community agency
which employs personnel from within the Department
of Defense and the Central Intelligence Agency
(CIA). As such, the NRO does not directly hire
employees, rather, they are assigned by their
respective agencies. Should you be interested

- Assignments to the NRO for active duty
Air Force personnel are, with few exceptions,
for 4 years. Opportunities exist in many
areas to include: Acquisition, Space, Comm,
and enlisted support specialties.
Air Force personnel seeking an assignment
to the NRO should email a resume to mla.saf.st.assignments@pentagon.af.mil.
Ensure your Core AFSC/CAFSC is included
along with Grade, Name, and SSN.
