WASHINGTON, D.C.- Sharee M. Freeman, Director of the Justice Department's Community Relations Service (CRS), will deliver remarks during a session of the Hispanic American Police Command Officers Association 31st Annual National Training Conference on Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at 2:30 PM. The session, entitled "Improving Communication between Law Enforcement and Middle Eastern Communities, will take place at the Menger Hotel in San Antonio Texas, located at 204 Alamo Plaza. The conference, which will be held on November 8-12, 2004, provides a forum for law enforcement, government and corporate officials to learn about ongoing and emerging issues affecting our communities. Director Freeman will speak to attendees on CRS initiatives that are designed to help law enforcement gain a better understanding of Middle Eastern cultures and communities, in addition to speaking on developing techniques for working collectively and improving communication.
