Combined forces recover cars from lake
Last December, a deer hunter found a partially submerged vehicle in Kerr Lake near the Sallisaw Creek Park area. The Sequoyah County Sheriff's office determined that the vehicle was only partially submerged because there were several others underneath it! The stolen vehicles had been pushed off a 30-foot bluff. Corps of Engineers waives day use fees at recreation areas on Veterans Day
WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will waive all day use fees for veterans, active, reserve and guard service members and their families at its recreation areas nationwide on Nov. 11.
