Douglas
MacArthur was born on January 26, 1880, and
graduated from the United States Military
Academy in 1903. He was the Supreme Commander
of the Allied Forces in the Pacific. President
Harry Truman relieved General MacArthur of
his command in the Far East and replaced him
with Lt. General Matthew B. Ridgway. General
Douglas MacArthur died in April of 1964. MacArthur
was an executive with the Remington Rand Corporation
after his retirement as a Five Star General
with the Army.
