Environmental Commissioners/Directors from 17 states in the Midwest and Northeast ask EPA for a dialogue to address multi-pollutant air quality problems; in particular, ozone, PM2.5, and regional haze.

Since 2000, LADCO (and Midwest RPO) have conducted technical
analyses (i.e., development of emissions inventories, application
of air quality models, and evaluation of candidate control strategies)
and supported public outreach (i.e., workshops) to help states with
SIP development for ozone, PM2.5, and regional
haze.

Northern Class I Areas (click

The states of Michigan and Minnesota, along with representatives
of other states, tribal governments, and federal agencies, are working to address
visibility impairment due to regional haze in four northern class I areas.
LADCO Technical Support Document (click

The Technical Support Document (April 25, 2008) summarizes
the final air quality analyses conducted by LADCO and its contractors
to support the development of SIPS for ozone, PM2.5, and regional
haze.
