Sandy MacCrackenPosition: Former Program Administrator (University Corporation for Atmospheric Research )

Responsibilities: Until her retirement in March 2007, Ms. MacCracken was responsible for overseeing office operations and communications. Her specific responsibilities included overseeing document fulfillment and stock maintenance for the Global Change Research Information Office (GCRIO), procuring supplies, maintaining office equipment, and assessing equipment requirements and solutions. She managed preparation and distribution of documents for CCSP meetings. She also was a liaison to groups meeting in the office to ensure that events ran smoothly. Ms. MacCracken supported the CCSPO Director in day-to-day activities, including travel, scheduling, and communications within the office and the agencies. She served as logistics planner and coordinator for special meetings and workshops such as the December 2002 CCSP Workshop on the CCSP Strategic Plan. Ms. MacCracken was tasked with special assignments on an ongoing basis, for example, collating expert and public comments for the CCSP Synthesis and Assessment products, and collating review comments for US Government reviews of reports of international bodies such as the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
