Position: Coordinator for the Carbon Cycle and Ecosystems Interagency Working Groups
Responsibilities: Emily Therese Cloyd joined the Climate Change Science Program Office in February 2007. She serves as the coordinator for the Carbon Cycle and Ecosystems Interagency Working Groups. In this capacity, she acts as a central point of contact for working group members and provides support in coordinating meetings, responding to queries, and editing and writing program-related documents. She is also responsible for maintaining the Carbon Cycle Science Program website.
Prior to joining CCSPO, Emily held a Dean John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship, serving as Modeling Coordinator at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Center for Sponsored Coastal Ocean Research during 2006. She received a Master's degree in Conservation Biology from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF, Syracuse, NY) and a Bachelor's degree in Plant Biology from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI) and is currently engaged in doctoral studies in Environmental and Natural Resources Policy at SUNY-ESF. Her research interests lie at the intersection of science and policy and include the use of simulation models to inform management and policy decisions and the co-evolution of ecosystem approaches to modeling, management, and policy in the Great Lakes.
