Scenarios of Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Atmospheric Concentrations; and Review of Integrated Scenario Development and Application

Final Report, Synthesis and Assessment Product 2.1

Printed copies of this report are available free from the online catalog of the Global Change Research Information Office.

Also available are the following two databases of scenario information collected from the participating modeling teams.  The two data files include the following fields:  Region, Category, Sub Category, Variable, Units, Run Label, Year. 

  1. CCSP-2-1A-Scenario-Information-070707.xls Includes "all the information that was collected from the modeling teams to support the development of this report, including the figures and tables presented in the report."
  2. CCSP2-1a-other-species-070707.xls.  Includes "additional emissions information for substances not included in the radiative forcing stabilization levels used in this research, such as ozone precursors and aerosols. The emissions profiles for these other substances are different from what would emerge in scenarios in which these substances are explicitly included in stabilizing radiative forcing."

This document, the second of the Synthesis and Assessment Products described in the U.S. Climate Change Science Program (CCSP) Strategic Plan, was developed with broad scientific input and in accordance with the Guidelines for Producing CCSP Synthesis and Assessment Products, Section 515 of the Treasury and General Government Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2001 (Public
Law 106-554), and the information quality act guidelines issued by the Department of Energy pursuant to Section 515. The CCSP Interagency Committee relies on Department of Energy certifications regarding compliance with Section 515 and the Guidelines for Producing CCSP Synthesis and Assessment Products.   This document does not express any regulatory policies of the United States or any of its agencies, or provide recommendations for regulatory action.
