	National Latino AIDS Action Agenda Network (NLAAN) -- Latino/Hispanic HIV/AIDS Federal Policy Recommendations Addressing the Latino AIDS Crisis [PDF, 400KB] The National Latino AIDS Action Network releases Latino HIV/AIDS Policy Federal Recommendations developed as a result of the National AIDS Summit that took place January 2008 in Washington D.C.
	NASTAD Technical Assistance Report: Activities to Address HIV/AIDS in Native American Communities[PDF, 531KB] This update emphasizes strategies and approaches to consider for health departments and Native American advocates wishing to do more to address HIV/AIDS in Native American communities. As such, this update builds upon NASTAD’s earlier work that reviewed historical underpinnings and other factors impacting Native Americans’ HIV risk.
	Breaking Through the Silence: Key Issues and Recommendations to Address HIV/AIDS Among Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders in the United States [PDF, 818KB] Through this document, APIAHF and NASTAD have collaborated to identify and respond to the continued challenges that state and local health departments face in responding to the HIV prevention needs of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities.
	Seattle RARE Project: Rapid Assessment, Response and Evaluation King County applied for and received money from the Department of Health and Human Services to conduct an in-depth HIV prevention needs assessment of the local Black community called the RARE Project (Rapid Assessment, Response, and Evaluation). RARE draws on the resources of both the Public Health agency and the community for an effective data gathering process.
	Treating Adolescents with HIV: Tools for Building Skills in Cultural Competence, Clinical Care, and Support Welcome to Treating Adolescents with HIV: Tools for Building Skills in Cultural Competence, Clinical Care, and Support, a series of online training modules for health care providers working with HIV-infected youth. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of HIV/AIDS Policy, Health Resources and Services Administration, HIV/AIDS Bureau supported the development of this training.

	Supplemental Testing for Confirmation of Reactive Oral Fluid Rapid HIV Antibody Tests Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, 12/16/05 A reactive rapid HIV test result is considered preliminary and must be confirmed by supplemental testing.
	Trends in HIV/AIDS Diagnoses --- 33 States, 2001--2004 Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, 11/18/05 This report describes the characteristics of persons for whom HIV infection was diagnosed during 2001--2004 and reported to 33 state and local health departments with name-based HIV reporting.
	Updated U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines for the Management of Occupational Exposures to HIV and Recommendations for Postexposure Prophylaxis Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, 9/30/05 This report updates U.S. Public Health Service recommendations for the management of health-care personnel (HCP) who have occupational exposure to blood and other body fluids that might contain human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
	Update: Syringe Exchange Programs --- United States, 2002 Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, 7/15/05 Syringe exchange programs (SEPs) provide sterile syringes* in exchange for used syringes to reduce transmission of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and other bloodborne infections associated with reuse of contaminated syringes by injection-drug users (IDUs).
	HIV Transmission in the Adult Film Industry --- Los Angeles, California, 2004 Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, 09/23/05 This investigation identified important and remediable gaps in the prevention of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in the adult film industry.
