Martha
Gellhorn, also known as, Martha Matthews and Mrs.
Thomas Stanley Matthews, was born November 8, 1908,
in Saint Louis, Missouri. Martha Gellhorn was not
the subject of an investigation, but her name was
mentioned in the files of others. Martha Gellhorn
was a writer whose pieces appeared in Collier's
magazine and the New Republic. She was a war correspondent
and author spent two years in Europe, returning
to the United states in 1945. She was divorced from
Ernest Hemingway. She wrote a book titled "Concerning
Government Benefits."
