HIV/AIDS and Hispanic Americans

Hispanic Americans accounted for 18% of all HIV/AIDS cases in 2006.  Hispanic males are almost 3 times as likely to have AIDS in 2006 as compared to non-Hispanic white males.  Hispanic females are 5 times as likely to have AIDS in 2006 as non-Hispanic white females.  Hispanic men were 2.6 times as likely as non-Hispanic white men to die of HIV/AIDS in 2004.  Hispanic women were four times as likely as non-Hispanic white women to die of HIV/AIDS in 2004.
