On April 22-23, 1999, the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) will conduct a session for certification and re-certification for service contract filing under option 2 ("dial-up") of the Commission's final interim rules for the filing of service contracts on or after May 1, 1999. The option 2 filing system will be available to receive filings on May 1, 1999. Parties who wish to register for batch filing certification under the new dial-up system will be charged the user fee consistent with the Commission's interim regulations, 46 CFR § 530.11(c)(5).

Scheduling of certification or recertification appointments for the batch filing capability should be made through FMC, Office of Information Resources Management, Ms. Pat N. Gorski, (202) 523-5835. The registration cutoff date for this period is April 20, 1999.
