                    FMC Plans Regular Commission Meetings

FOR RELEASE - May 5, 2008

The Federal Maritime Commission hereby announces that it plans to hold regular meetings on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. The Commission will also hold additional meetings as necessary. For the month of May, the Commission will meet on the 14th and 28th. In addition, the Commission will meet on Wednesday, May 7th. Meetings will begin at 10:00 a.m., unless otherwise noted. The public is invited to attend the open portion of any Commission meeting. Commission meetings will be announced on the Commission's website at http://www.fmc.gov/ and published in the Federal Register in accordance with the Government in the Sunshine Act.
