The Commission has been notified that Society Expeditions, Inc. filed for protection under Chapter 7 of the U.S. bankruptcy laws on June 29, 2004. The filing, Case Number 04-18762-KAO, was made in the United States Bankruptcy Court of Western District of Washington.

Cruises aboard the vessel, World Discoverer, have ceased. We have been advised that refunds have been made to all cash paying passengers. Those passengers who charged their fares by credit card and have not received a credit for their fare are advised to file a dispute with their credit card company.

The Commission will provide additional information as it becomes available.
