New Product Press Conference Deadline EXTENDED

Don't Miss This Great Opportunity to Showcase Your New Product

The deadline for participation in ATSSA's 2009 New Products Press Conference has been extended to Friday, January 16, 2009.

ATSSA’s popular “New Products Press Conference” was created several years ago to allow ATSSA members an opportunity to introduce their new products or services to local and national members of the media. Traffic Expo 2009 exhibitors who have developed new products after Feb. 11, 2008 are invited to participate in this event on Wed, Feb. 4, 2009, from 12:30 -2:00 p.m. in San Jose. Local area media (radio, television, newspapers and freelance writers) will be invited, along with industry publications such as Roads & Bridges and Better Roads magazines.

All paid ATSSA Traffic Expo exhibitors with new products (as defined earlier) are invited to participate in this event on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited to 20 participants. Once 20 participants are registered, the event is closed. Therefore, it is important to make your reservation and submit your materials as soon as possible. The running order of presentations is determined by the order in which registrations are received.

How's Your 2009 "To-Do" List Going?

ATSSA can help you check off something on your “To Do” list right away.

The Final Rule on Temporary Traffic Control Devices – FHWA-2006-25203 – required agencies to establish quality guidelines for temporary traffic control devices by December 4, 2008. The ATSSA Guidelines were developed and recently updated with input from numerous agencies as well as the private sector.  These Quality Guidelines are intended to help contractors and agencies judge when a traffic control device has outlived its usefulness.  Color photos, as well as a written description of work zone devices, are presented in a convenient pocket-sized format.Devices included in the booklet are signs, barricades, drums, cones, tubular markers, channelizers, warning lights (including flashing arrow panels), advanced warning arrow panels and portable changeable message signs, pavement marking tape, paint and raised pavement markers, crash cushions, high-visibility apparel and temporary concrete barriers. Both inspectors and contractors can order copies of the Quality Guidelines by calling ATSSA directly (toll free) at (877) 642-4637, or click here to visit the Roadway Safety Store. For public sector agencies only, ATSSA will ship immediately upon receipt of your purchase order.
