OCC Enhances Appearance of its Web Site

Welcome to the OCC's new Internet home page!

The most obvious changes you'll see on our newly "freshened" site have to do with its appearance, including new banners and menus with blue backgrounds. But we've also changed the organization of the home page to make it easier to use. You'll find a new "Features" section that spotlights new or high-priority OCC information and a new "Resource Highlights" column that provides quick access to popular information for either consumer or bankers.

While we hope you enjoy the new look and feel of our Internet site, we also want you to know that this is only the first of a number of steps we will be taking over the next year to make our web pages easier to use and richer in content. We'll provide updates over the coming year to let you know how we are changing the organization and architecture of this site to better serve those with an interest in the OCC and the national banking system.

OCC emblem

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency was created by Congress to charter national banks, to oversee a nationwide system of banking institutions, and to assure that national banks are safe and sound, competitive and profitable, and capable of serving in the best possible manner the banking needs of their customers.
