New Director for LICR Melbourne Branch Sought
Dr. Antony W. Burgess, AC, Founding Director of the LICR's largest Branch, has announced that he will step down as Director in April 2009. The new Director of the LICR Melbourne Branch will have the opportunity to be a key opinion leader in both the LICR's global laboratory and clinical research programs and in Australia's cancer research community. Investigators from the Melbourne Center of the international Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research (LICR) and Pacific Edge Biotchnology Ltd today reported that they have developed a test to predict whether a patient will progress rapidly from Stage III melanoma to metastatic Stage IV cancer and death.
