U.S. Army awards $8.21M performance-based acquisition for Installation Cleanup

Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. - On September 25, 2007, the U.S. Army Environmental Command (USAEC) awarded a $8.21M performance-based task order to Conti Environment and Infrastructure, Inc. of South Plainfield, N.J., for environmental remediation services at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and the former St. Louis Ordnance Plant.

The task order was awarded on the Pre-placed Remedial Action Contract administered by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District. The five-year task order includes performance objectives for three environmental restoration sites. At Fort Leonard Wood, the performance objectives call for achieving cleanup at two sites by the end of June 2011. At the former St. Louis Ordnance Plant, the performance objectives call for achieving cleanup at one site by the end of September 2011.
