U.S. Army awards $10.7M performance-based acquisition for Installation Cleanup

Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. – On November 15, 2006, the U.S. Army Environmental Command (USAEC) awarded a $10.7M performance-based task order to Shaw Environmental, Inc. of Edgewood, MD for environmental remediation services at Fort Campbell.

The ten-year task order was awarded on the ACSIM Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract administered by the Army Contracting Agency, Aberdeen Proving Ground Directorate of Contracting. The Fort Campbell task order includes performance objectives for twelve Environmental Restoration, Army (ER,A), seven Compliance cleanup (CC), and four Operations and Maintenance, Army (OMA) sites. The performance objectives for the ER,A sites call for achieving cleanup at one site by the end of March 2007, one site by the end of September 2007, and ten sites by the end of September 2009. The performance objectives for the CC sites require achieving cleanup at six sites and Long Term Management (LTM) at one site within two years from the notice to proceed. The performance objectives for the OMA sites require achieving cleanup within two years from the NTP. LTM will be in place under the performance-based acquisition until 2016.
