U.S. Army awards $11.83M performance-based acquisition for Installation Cleanup

Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD – The U.S. Army Environmental Center awarded a $11.83M performance-based task order on September 20, 2006, to Shaw Environmental, Inc., in Knoxville, Tennessee, for environmental remediation services at Radford Army Ammunition Plant, Radford, Virginia.

The ten-year task order was awarded on the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract and will be administered by the US Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District. The performance objectives call for achieving Remedy-in-Place (RIP) at seven sites by the end of September 2009, Response Complete at two sites by the end of September 2009, and Completion of Facility Investigation / Corrective Measures Study at three sites by the end of September 2009.
