Chapter 9: Management Services Office

9.1 Director, Management Services (Denver) is responsible for providing the direction of Reclamation's administrative programs including financial management, supply and property management, office services, work environment safety, information resources management, and acquisition services. As Deputy Chief Financial Officer (DCFO), assists in carrying out responsibilities of CFO and serves as chair of Reclamation's CFO Council.

9.2 Business Services (Denver) provides staff support to the Director, Management Services and the RSC Director in ensuring that administrative business is conducted in a fiscally responsible, cost-effective, and ethical manner. Identifies opportunities for business process improvements in Management Services Office programs, and advises and assists program managers in the implementation of improved processes.

9.3 Financial Support Services (Denver) is responsible for providing financial management and budget analysis services for the Commissioner's Office and the RSC. Also provides technical support to the Program, Budget, and Liaison Group, Commissioner's Office in carrying out Reclamation-wide budget preparation, consolidation, reporting, and advisory functions.

9.4 Safety and Health Services (Denver) is responsible for the execution of Reclamation's work environment safety and occupational health programs.

9.5 Finance and Accounting Services (Denver) is responsible for Reclamation-wide financial management and accounting policy, systems, and operations.

9.6 Acquisition and Assistance Services (Denver) is responsible for Reclamation's acquisition and assistance management including developing policies and procedures, performing oversight and review, managing Reclamation's Business and Economic Development program, and providing operating services necessary to solicit, award, and administer contracts and financial assistance agreements.

9.7 Property and Office Services (Denver) is responsible for Reclamation's programs and systems for supply management, property management, facilities management, publications and records management, and Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act implementation.

9.8 Information Resources Services (Denver) is responsible for the planning, development, execution, and management of Reclamation-wide information resources systems, applications, data communications, and networked computers.
