AMORs have perihelions (closest approach to the Sun) of between 1 and

1.3 astronomical units (AU). AMORs approach within 0.3 AU of the Earth

but do not cross the Earth's orbit, except in a rare case like 1998FM5 whose

perihelion is smaller than the Earth's aphelion of 1.017 AU.

NEAT Discoveries: 1996EO, 1996FQ3, 1996KE, 1996RY3, 1996TO5, 1996TE9,

1997GH3, 1997 PN, 1997SE5,1997TD , 1997YR10, 1998BG9,1998BX7, 1998BP26,1998FM5, 1998OR2

APOLLOs cross the Earth's orbit and have semi-major axes larger than 1 AU.

NEAT Discoveries: 1996EN, 1996FR3, 1996SK, 1996TD9, 1997WB21, 1997WU22 (also revision) ,

1997YM9, 1998BZ7, 1998BB10, 1998HT31, 1998OH

ATENs have semi-major axes less than 1 AU. All known ATENS cross the Earth's orbit.

NEAT Discoveries: 1997AC11, 1997NC1,1997UH9,1998DG16, 1998HD14

COMETS

NEAT Discoveries: (=Comets NEAT)- C/1996 E1 , C/1997 A1

OTHER UNUSUAL OBJECTS are neither NEAs nor Main-Belt Asteroids but have unusual eccentricities or

inclinations.

NEAT Discoveries: 1996PW = asteroid with largest observed orbital eccentricity or extinct comet,

1996TA9, 1997CO5, 1997CZ5, 1997GF3 , 1997PO , 1997RD1, 1997UT9, 1997YL11, 1998BE7, 1998FS11 , 1998WL

POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS ASTEROIDS are asteroids larger than 110 m whose orbits approach

close to the Earth..NEAT Discoveries: 1996EO, 1996EN, 1996SK, 1997NC1, 1998BB10,1998HD14, 1998HT31, 1998OH, 1998OR2
