Images of the Cosmos
Since its deployment in 1990, the Hubble and its data have been the subject of many exciting images, animations, videos, and other products. The Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) in Baltimore, MD, processes and archives the images. Click here to view the copyright information for the images.
Images of Hubble
Pictures and videos of the Hubble itself were obtained by NASA during deployment and during subsequent servicing missions to the Hubble by the Space Shuttle.
Servicing Missions
Many images and videos are taken during preparation for a servicing mission. Animations are sometimes produced in advance of a mission and videos are sometimes taken during the live spacewalks. Often, there are pictures or videos of the shuttle crew performing their duties and engaging in other activies .
Live WebCams
Live Webcams are generally available all of the time and include locations such as the Hubble Clean Room at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greebelt, MD, and several at the Kennedy Space Center on Merritt Island, FL.
NASA TV NASA Television (NTV) is a resource designed to provide real-time coverage of Agency activities and missions as well as providing resource video to the news media, educational programming, and the general public.
