Tom Dalton McFarland

Tom Dalton McFarland is a Forest Service Volunteer. He feels fortunate to have been pickin’ guitar and singin’ with the Fiddlin’ Foresters for 10 years, helping to spread the important messages of the Forest Service. He also writes, records, and performs his own music as Tom Dalton, being descended from the famous outlaws, the Dalton gang. Tom is mostly a self-taught musician, but also learned traditional acoustic music late in life from some old-timers in Ohio. Tom is an independent businessman in Golden, Colorado (sounds better than “lawyer”).

Tom received his Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State, a Master’s from Western Michigan, and the Juris Doctor degree from University of Toledo. After being a teacher and Professor for 12 years, he has been engaged in the private practice of law for 29 years. He is thrilled to be working with all three of his sons who are also lawyers. In addition to his love of music, Tom loves to travel, scuba dive, spend time in the mountains with kids and grandkids, and is a licensed private pilot, having recently taken up aerobatics. “Fiddlin’ foresters is a great gig!!!”
