Understanding Regional Economic Data for Policy and Planning

BEA and ACCRA, an association involved in community and economic research, in partnership with the State of Texas Office of the Governor, Economic Development and Tourism, and the Greater Dallas Chamber held a conference, Understanding Regional Economic Data for Policy and Planning on Friday, September 8, 2006, in Dallas, Texas. The conference attendees represented Federal, state, and local government agencies, universities, local associations involved in economic development, and private-sector firms.

The purpose of the conference was to provide an overview to users on BEA's regional products, including foreign direct investment data, to obtain user feedback, to report on improvements to the regional data, and to preview new research.

This conference was the 5th regional outreach conference in FY06. The agenda and links to the presentations are listed below.
