Developing Emotional Intelligence Skills via GS Connect (Web-based, Instructor-Supported, New)

Overview:
All session times shown are Eastern United States.

Learn the main competencies of emotional intelligence: self-awareness; self-management; motivation; social awareness and relationship management to assist you in developing your emotional intelligence, giving and receiving feedback and building a positive work environment.

In this four week blended learning course, you complete online and classroom instruction. During weeks 1, 2 and 4, you participate in a one-hour live session on Mondays (2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. EST) through the Internet. During these sessions you master the course content through real-time lectures, exercises, poll questions and slide presentations, and can join class discussions via text chat communication. If you miss any of the three live online sessions, you can view the archived session. Between the live sessions, you complete instructional assignments.

During week 3, you attend a one-day classroom session at Capital Gallery in Washington, DC on Tuesday. This face-to-face classroom session focuses on exploring and applying the content covered during the online portion of the course.
