With the release of the 2008 annual revision, seven of the current underlying tables will be
modified, and a new table will be introduced.
Table 1BUC. “Current Dollar Manufacturing and Trade Inventories, Seasonally Adjusted, End of Period”
will be added to the group of tables showing inventories. The table presents private inventories by
industry in current dollars and corresponds to NIPA table 5.7.5B.
Tables 5.5.4U, 5.5.5U, and 5.5.6U will provide additional detail under “Medical equipment and
instruments” (line 8). The new detail categories are “Electro-medical equipment” (line 9) and
“Medical instruments” (line 10).
Beginning with January 2005, additional detail for new light trucks (lines 11, 12, 28, 29, 45, and
46) will be shown in tables 7.2.4U, 7.2.5U, and 7.2.6U. In addition, table 7.2.5S has been expanded
to include average expenditure details (lines 21 and 22).
