This section provides a numbered listing of the guidelines included in the synthesis. Also provided in this section is the complete bibliographic source of each guideline with a link to the respective NGC summary. Guidelines are typically listed alphabetically by organization name. Chronological listings are sometimes used if there are significant differences in the publication dates of the guidelines.

INTRODUCTION
The guidelines included in the comparison are introduced in this section, along with a general comparison of the scope of the guidelines, and of the overall synthesis.
Each table included in the comparison is introduced, along with a brief description of its contents. The first table provides a comparison of the scope of each of the guidelines, including objectives, target populations, intended users, and major interventions and practices considered.
The second table provides a comparison of the recommendations from each guideline that are relevant to the synthesis topic.
The third table provides a listing of the potential benefits and harms associated with the implementation of each guideline.
The last table identifies the level of evidence supporting the major recommendations (when applicable), and references supporting selected recommendations (when applicable).

Abbreviations: This section identifies all abbreviations included throughout the synthesis.

The primary differences between the guidelines are discussed along with possible explanations for the differences.
