Saharan Mineral Dust Experiment (SAMUM) |
The Saharan Mineral Dust Experiment (SAMUM) is dedicated to the understanding of the microphysical and optical properties of desert dust and the impact of desert dust on the global climate system. This experiment will take place in southern Morocco during May and June 2006.
The Multi-angle Imaging SpectroRadiometer (MISR) team defines the SAMUM region by the lat/lon coordinates 40N - 25N, 20W - 0W which corresponds to MISR Paths 194 - 214 and Blocks 57 - 71.
