DNA evidence may play a significant role at various points throughout the life of a criminal case, from the initiation of a criminal investigation through post-conviction confirmation of the truth. As the "end users" of DNA evidence, Officers of the Court must understand both the science and technology of DNA evidence.

This 15-module online tutorial was designed primarily for prosecutors, defense attorneys, and judges. But it provides an introduction to DNA analysis and the legal issues surrounding DNA evidence that will interest the general public, too.
