SERVING OUR COMMUNITY

DISA is dedicated to contributing and having a positive impact within our community. We believe that by reinvesting in the community, we create and foster a better place to work and live. As an agency, DISA encourages community service and even provides the means and resources for employees to get involved.

EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH

DISA has educational partnerships and involvement with many local schools and educational organizations. We strive to excite the youth about studying science, math, engineering, and information technology by providing hands-on learning demonstrations, guest speakers in the classrooms, and even inviting students to shadow DISA employees for a day.

CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS

Each year, DISA plays an active role in supporting the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 300 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally to help to raise millions of dollars each year. Monetary pledges made by civilian and military members support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.

In the 2007 CFC effort, DISA raised $675,202.

BLOOD DONATION

DISA partners with the Arlington County Chapter of the American Red Cross on a regular-basis, giving DISA staff the convenience and opportunity to make a life-saving donation — the donation of blood.
