Scheduled System Outage -- Friday, September 5, 8:00 PM EDT

 

Dear Colleagues,

The Corporation’s systems – including the My AmeriCorps Portal, Recruitment System, eGrants and eSPAN – will be unavailable Friday, September 5, 8:00 PM EDT through Monday, September 8, 8:00 AM EDT to accommodate an important database upgrade. This upgrade will allow for increased stability and capacity and better integration of the Corporation’s systems. Please plan your work accordingly and refer to the Operating Status page (www.nationalservice.gov/status) for additional updates and to learn system status.

As you recall, earlier this year, David Eisner outlined three technology improvement objectives for the near term: upgrade our current database software to a newer and more stable version; move the core of our IT infrastructure out of headquarters and into a managed service environment; and, oversee the successful delivery of the third release of the My AmeriCorps Portal. A successful upgrade in this first week of September will allow us to complete the first phase of these improvements and system upgrades.

We apologize for the inconvenience of this outage and thank you for your continued support as we work to have all of our systems working to better serve you.
