Dr. Robert D.
Bullard, the Ware Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Director of
the Environmental Justice Resource Center at Clark Atlanta University.
Known as the “Father of Environmental Justice,” Dr. Bullard
is the author of numerous books and publications that address sustainable
development, environmental racism, urban land use, industrial facility
siting, community reinvestment, housing, transportation, climate justice,
emergency response, smart growth, and regional equity. Dr. Bullard will
be speaking on the topic “Growing Smarter: Achieving LivableCommunities
and Environmental Justice Twenty-Five Years after Warren County.”
The program will include a live performance by saxophonist Merlon Devine,
a question-and-answer period, and a book and CD signing. Books and CDs
will be available for sale. |
