GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS TO HOLD NOMINEE HEARING
MEDIA ADVISORY – UPDATE
 
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Senate Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Susan Collins (R-ME) and Ranking Member Joe Lieberman (D-CT) today announced that at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2003, the committee will hold a hearing to consider the nominations of:

C. Stewart Verdery, Jr. to be Assistant Secretary for Policy and Planning, Border and Transportation Security Directorate, Department of Homeland Security;

Michael J. Garcia to be Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security; and

The hearing will also be aired live via the Internet on the Committee website at http://govt-aff.senate.gov.
